It is with great pleasure I welcome you to our school community and our website. I am very proud to be the permanent Principal of this lovely school.

Wamuran has a long history of providing an excellent education for students in a supportive and caring environment. We are a small school and pride ourselves on having that "community" feel and spirit.

Our dedicated staff offer students a rich learning environment with focused teaching and learning experiences based around the Australian Curriculum.  We are very proud of our Performing Arts programme; with the school presenting a variety of plays and musicals throughout the year.

Our sporting programme includes attending regular gala days for soccer, touch, netball and AFL, a swimming carnival, cross country and fun runs for the little ones.

Wamuran State School is situated on the D'Aguilar Highway in Jinabara country, in the middle of the small township. We have extensive grounds for the students to explore and play on – a small oval, rainforest area and playground with a large sandpit for our junior students, and a large oval, playground and hall for our seniors.

Our websites provides you with up to date information regarding events and activities at our school and a celebration of student learning and special events. We communicate with parents on a regular basis via Facebook, email, our eNewsletter and SMS messages.

The P&C Association is very active within the school, and supports the school with the purchase of many teaching and learning resources. The P & C fund our annual 'Colour Run' and are an amazing and supportive presence at many other events.
