Indigenous Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Jinibara people, and pay our respects to the elders both past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, traditions and the culture and hopes of Aboriginal Australians.
Principal’s Welcome
It is with great pleasure I welcome you to our school community and our website. Wamuran has a long history of providing an excellent education for students in a supportive and caring environment. We are a small school and pride ourselves on having that “community” feel and spirit.
Our student population is currently 285 students from Prep to Year 6. Our dedicated staff offer students a rich learning environment with focused teaching and learning experiences based around the Australian Curriculum. We value the environment in which we live and have established a strong Earth Protectors program at our school. Robotics also plays a very important part in our extra curricula activities with students invited to participate in the club before school and at lunchtimes.
Wamuran State School is situated on the D’Aguilar Highway in middle of the small township. We have extensive grounds for the students to explore and play on, our classrooms are all fully air-conditioned and we have 100% WiFi coverage throughout the school.
Our websites provides you with up to date information regarding events and activities at our school and a celebration of student learning and special events. We communicate with parents on a regular basis via Facebook, email, our eNewsletter and SMS messages.
The P&C Association is very active within the school, and supports the school with the purchase of many teaching and learning resources.
